Founded in 2012 by Derrick Chew, Sight Lines is a theatre company based in Singapore with a focus in arts education and school outreach. Its mission is equipping the performers of today and developing the audiences of tomorrow.

Since 2020, the company has also expanded into the production of immersive theatrical experiences and have cemented itself as a theatrical entertainment company with a cutting-edge blend of gaming, theatre and technology.

Come Nov 2023, Sight Line will present Crack the Case: Mind Hunter, a gripping murder mystery with Derrick as producer and Krish Natarajan as director and writer.

Designed to ensure that a wide range of audience can fully immerse themselves in a live mystery game like no other, Crack the Case: Mind Hunter is a challenge for those who love murder mysteries and are ready to test their wits. You’ll be able to step into the mind of a serial killer – VIP ticket holders will moreover be able to enjoy a secret opening prelude (10-mins prior to curtains), while for standard ticket holders will have a mission briefing before the experience starts.

There will also be 5-multisensory IG-worthy zones in which you can explore freely as the story unfolds around you. The characters of the story will interact with you directly, and there will be clues all around the house. You aren’t permitted to touch anything, but make sure you don’t leave any stone unturned!

If you love a good murder mystery, this is the immersive, interactive experience not to miss this 2023 year-end.

Enter The Mind Hunter House like no one else. Be plunged into the show with a secret prelude, open only to VIPs. Enjoy priority entry alongside access to our VIP area, a seat during selected scenes and an exclusive VIP take-home prop that will enhance the mystery solving.

Do note that The Mind Hunter House at 42 Waterloo Street is a heritage building with two floors and no lifts. To partake in the investigation, you would be required to navigate steps. The nearest carpark is also at Lazada One Building at Bras Basah Road.

Alleged psychopath David Menon has been suspected of abducting 3 women, and has been taunting the authorities.

As their lives hang in peril, Dr Nithin has partnered with the CID to beta-test the Mind Hunter – a prototype device which he has invented to study hard criminals and has invited you to volunteer for this live test. As you step into a heritage house transformed into the mind of the psychopath, you will freely explore the multi-sensory world of the Mind Hunter at your own pace as you experience scenes in a non-linear way as the story unfolds around you…

You must be willing to delve into nooks and crannies of the criminally insane, and the weight of your decisions carries real consequences. Are you ready to embark on this gripping adventure to crack the case?

About Derrick Chew

Producer / Artistic Director / Filmmaker

Sight Lines

Derrick’s career spans over two decades as a producer and creative director in the entertainment and media industry. Mentored by veteran Theatre Producer and acclaimed Hollywood actress Tan Kheng Hua, Derrick was the Marketing Manager for Pangdemonium Theatre Company from 2010 – 2012 before starting Sight Lines in 2012.

Since 2020, the company has expanded to produce immersive theatrical experiences. Some of the innovative works from this new venture include the world’s first virtual interactive haunted house meets escape room experience – Murder at Mandai Camp and the world’s first virtual interactive hotel mystery – The Curious Case of the Missing Peranakan Treasure in collaboration with Hossan Leong & Raffles Hotel Singapore.

Derrick has been featured across all media channels including NBC News, CNA 938, Channel 8 Hello Singapore News and CNA Lifestyle to name a few.

About Krish Natarajan

Writer/Director

Krish Natarajan is a theatre practitioner, actor and the artistic director of theatre collective Patch and Punnet and theatrical event agency Strawberries Inc.

Upon graduating from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2019 with first-class honours in BA Acting, he performed in SRT’s The Sound Inside (2021), Wild Rice’s Pulau Ujong (2022), Checkpoint’s Brown Boys Don’t Tell Jokes (2023) and Shakespeare in the Park: A Midsummer Night’s Dreams (2023).

He also directed and co-wrote Patch and Punnet’s Stupid Cupid (2018), The Adventures of Abhijeet (2019) and Fika and Fishy (2020). Krish has moreover worked with multiple partners and venues to produce immersive theatrical experiences with Strawberries Inc, such as Fever Originals’ Murder Mystery: A Novel Homicide (2023), The Streets Alive Tour (2020), and with Changi Recommends to produce The Secret Life of Haw Par Villa (2022) a sold-out theatrical walking tour set in Haw Par Villa.
