Fever-Tree Introduces Two New Refreshing Low-Calorie Sodas in Singapore

Are you familiar with Fever-Tree?

If you’re a fan of mixed drinks, I bet you are.

For me, yup, I’ve seen their bottles on and offline. Encountered recipes featuring their mixers all over Pinterest too. What I didn’t know, on the other hand, is that Fever-Tree is currently the world’s leading supplier of premium carbonated mixers for alcoholic spirits by retail sales value, with distribution to over 80 countries worldwide. They supply everyone from hotels to restaurants, to bars and cafes, to, of course, retailers too.

For Singaporean fans of Fever-Tree, great news too. Fever-Tree has expanded its The Soda Collection in Singapore with two new zesty flavours – Sparkling Pink Grapefruit and Mexican Lime. At 19 kcal and 16 kcal respectively, these low-calorie soda waters deliver a refreshing and all-natural fruity flavour for the calorie-conscious. Their enticing flavour profile allows them to be the ultimate thirst-quencher on their own too, or as superb mixers for cocktails or mocktails.

The new Sparkling Pink Grapefruit and Mexican Lime soda waters by Fever-Tree

Unlike many other soda waters available locally, the new Sparkling Pink Grapefruit and Mexican Lime soda waters are also made with no additional fat, salt, artificial sweeteners or colouring – embodying the perfect low-calorie drink for the wellness-conscious. Each 200 ml bottle is moreover gluten-free and non-GMO certified. Serious healthier living, in other words. And great for just about anyone at any time of the day.

I had the pleasure of trying both new flavours yesterday and hmm! Hmm and aah! They are indeed zesty, fruity, and thoroughly refreshing. The Sparkling Pink Grapefruit has a layered taste with the signature bitter hint of grapefruit, while Mexican Lime, as expected, is citrusy and aromatic.

Mixed into classic cocktails like the Paloma or the Salty Dog, well, I probably could sit for hours with glass after glass in hand. (Which I did somewhat do yesterday …)

But enough about me. Let me give you a more detailed introduction to the two new Fever-Tree soda flavours, as well as three recommended ways to enjoy them.

Sparkling Pink Grapefruit & Mexican Lime –Two Refreshing, Guilt-Free Sodas

Fever-Tree Sparkling Pink Grapefruit
Fever-Tree’s Sparkling Pink Grapefruit Soda Water is made from handpicked red and pink grapefruits from Florida.

The Sparkling Pink Grapefruit is an impressive upfront burst of fresh grapefruit carefully balanced with soft pink grapefruit floral notes. The perfect levels of carbonation and real juice content provide a rounded base which complements the best premium tequilas and vodkas for a refreshing, light spritz.

Fever-Tree Mexican Lime Soda
Mexican Lime Soda Water features Tahiti lime from Mexico and fresh yuzu from Japan. The best of citrusy goodness from both sides of the Pacific!

The Mexican Lime is a surprising blend of lime and yuzu with a slight bite from the juicy citrus, rounded off by the natural sweetness of yuzu. It is refreshing not just on its own, but also makes a beautiful long drink with premium vodka or 100%-agave tequila.

Three Ways to Enjoy the New Fever-Tree Sparkling Pink Grapefruit and Mexican Lime Soda Waters

1. Make a Paloma with Sparkling Pink Grapefruit

The Paloma is one of the most popular summer cocktails; according to some sources, the most beloved cocktail in Mexico too. With a bottle of Fever-Tree’s Sparkling Pink Grapefruit and some decent tequila, you could make yourself a tall glass of this summer delight.

Ingredients

  • 200 ml Fever-Tree Sparkling Pink Grapefruit Soda Water
  • 50 ml tequila
  • Fresh ice
  • 1 juicy grapefruit wedge to garnish

Add the tequila, plonk in the ice, top up with the sparkling soda, stir classily, and it’s done!

2. Make a Vodka and Lime Spritz with Mexican Lime Soda

A feisty drink that is perfect for any hour and day.

  • 200 ml Fever-Tree Mexican Lime Soda Water
  • 50ml vodka
  • Lots of fresh ice
  • 1 fresh lime wedge to garnish

Add the vodka and the ice, then pour in the soda. You could add a dash of agave syrup for more character.

3. Enjoy The Sodas on Their Own

Fever-Tree doesn’t promote their new sodas as purely for mixing, so these low-calorie, healthy drinks are great on their own too. With their smaller bottle size, they are easy to bring to picnics, beach outings, etc. Hey, you could even mix them with fruit juices to create your own unique refreshing fruity blend!

All Fever-Tree soda waters are awesome on their own too. Plus, the compact bottles are terrifically easy to bring around.
