Asia’s largest celebration of GIFs explores the world of the ‘IMPERFECT’ through stunning new works by 80 visionary local and international creatives.
GIFFEST by EYEYAH! returns for its third and most spectacular edition at the National Design Centre! Supported by DesignSingapore Council, this special edition of GIFFEST brings together for the first time Asia’s largest celebration of GIFs with EYEYAH!’s thought-provoking visual approach to deconstructing social topics.
Driving Social Impact Through the Power of GIFs
Exploring the theme of ‘IMPERFECT’ from both the lens of design and as a social issue, the exhibition invites visitors to discover the beauty and value of imperfection as an essential aspect of human creativity and expression. This year’s theme spotlights the prevalent social issue of perfectionism and its impact on society, challenging expectations and attitudes through more than 80 incredible animated artworks by local and international creatives.
GIFFEST III also promises a blockbuster experience exhibiting the richness of GIFs as a creative medium that merges the worlds of animation, graphic design, film, and photography. The ground-breaking multimedia exhibition will feature giant projections and cutting-edge formats for an immersive experience catering to today’s technology-loving generation.

At GIFFEST, we explore the GIF as a communication tool—driving social change by sparking meaningful conversations and expanding on diverse and unseen ideas to inspire the next generation of creators. We’re pushing the limits of the humble GIF into full-blown moving pieces of creativity in high definition on a huge scale. Apart from being fun and emotive, these GIF showcases are a testament to the ingenuity, inventiveness and imagination of the creatives behind them.”

A Diverse, Curated Collection
The festival’s exceptional collection of GIFs was curated from an open call on Instagram that saw extensive creative submissions to #GifFestSG. This latest edition also presents diverse works and perspectives from around the world, including acclaimed creatives known for their unique approach to GIF art and emerging talents.
GIFFEST III Fringe Programmes
GIFFEST III runs from May 18 to Aug 26, making it the longest duration of the festival—extending beyond its typical five days to an impressive three months. This allows for a richer event line-up, with new fringe programming and activities every two weeks, such as hands-on workshops, talks and interactive programmes suitable for all ages, including children. Come August, GIFFEST III will be part of this year’s Singapore Night Festival too.
These fringe programmes provide opportunities for visitors to learn more about GIF art and explore the spectrum of Imperfection and Perfection raised in culturally trending and relevant topics such as the perfectly imperfect worlds of AI, Generative NFTS, Music and Animation.
