Hokkaido autumn-inspired Japanese dinner at Tendon Kohaku Clarke Quay Central.
Time for another quick geeky restaurant
visit write-up. This time, it’s a family dinner two Thursdays ago.
The location was the (new) Tendon Kohaku (天丼琥珀) Japanese restaurant at Clarke Quay Central. Since Don Don Donki opened next door a while ago, I’ve passed by this classic Edomae Tendon restaurant several times. And correspondingly, was fascinated by the displays of their towering offers.
My overall verdict for this dinner: it was definitely fun, and intriguing, “exploring” the many ingredients of my Hokkaido Autumn special bowl. The minimalist interior with its cypress walls and fittings was also a thoroughly Japanese experience.
Floor space was a little cramped on the whole, but that just added to the overall Tokyo feel of the restaurant.
