The lunar eighth month is nearly here. With that comes the next Chinese festivity, i.e., opportunity for a festive light-up. Mid-Autumn Festival!

I originally intended to begin my rounds with the usual light-up at Gardens, but this event caught my eye early in the week. Promising more than 2,000 lanterns that would light up the evening skies above VivoCity, Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn Celebration sounds and feels to be a great (and modern) way to begin this year’s mooncake festival.

Here are my pictures!

(This extravaganza is also free for all. Another reason why I headed down on opening day. :P)

Sunset at VivoCity Sky Park

My original plan was for this post to be my usual night-time light-up sort, but on arrival, I was immediately seduced by the golden evening. It was such a clear day, the credit of earlier showers. The Disney Tsum Tsum character lanterns also looked just as great against the daytime blue sky.

Wishing Wonderland, a Frozen-themed “icy” lake right in the middle of VivoCity Skypark. You could float a wishing card on this lake for two dollars. (Available at the TANGS Customer Service Counter at Level 1. Proceeds go entirely to the Children’s Cancer Foundation)

And of course, Mickey and Minnie watching over everything and everyone.

Being a VivoCity event, Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn Celebration of Love naturally has various retail link-ups too. For example, you could “score” a Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn EZ-Link with every SGD 250/- spent.

Kids could also frolic with Disney Tsum Tsum characters at the Sky Park, and bring home a bowl and cup set for every sixty dollars spent at a qualifying store. For details, please check Vivo’s events page!

Disney Tsum Tsum Cuteness Under the Evening Sky

It got really crowded after sunset! Especially at the Tunnel of Love! Thankfully, everything was still orderly enough for me to snap some quick shots.

Lots of LOVE in the Tunnel of Love, indeed. Took me 10 minutes to move through it.

    • Hey, thanks for commenting. I think DTT is on the marketing offensive, ha ha, if you know what I mean. These would probably be popping up everywhere soon.

In Singapore, our next Disney/Pixar event is the Christmas light-up. First time ever there’s going to be a branded Christmas light-up in this way.
