Chinese seventh month is nearly over. With that comes the next Chinese festivity i.e. opportunity for a festive light-up. Mid-Autumn Festival!
I originally intended to begin my rounds with the usual light-up at Gardens, but this event caught my eye early in the week. Promising more than 2,000 lanterns that would light up the evening skies above VivoCity, Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn Celebration sounds and feels to be a great (and modern) way to begin this year’s mooncake festival. Anyway, here are the pics!
(This extravaganza is free for all. Another reason why I headed down on opening day. :P)
Sunset
My plan was for this post to be my usual night-time light-up sort, but on arrival, I was immediately seduced by the golden evening. It was such a clear day, the credit of earlier showers. The Disney Tsum Tsum characters looked just as great against the day-time blue sky.

Being hosted at VivoCity, Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn Celebration of Love naturally has various retail link-ups. For example, you could “score” a Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn EZ-Link with every SGD 250/- spent. Kids could also frolic with Disney Tsum Tsum characters at the Sky Park and bring home a bowl and cup set for every sixty dollars spent at a qualifying store.
Evening
It got really crowded! Especially at the Tunnel of Love! Thankfully, everything was still orderly enough for me to snap some quick shots.

Disney Tsum Tsum Mid-Autumn Celebration of Love is ongoing at VivoCity Level 3 Sky Park till Sep 30, 2018. Disney Tsum Tsum itself is the brand name of a range of collectible stuff toys based on Disney and Pixar characters.

I would just love to visit this Disney world
I’m proud to say, I love most things Disney. 😛
This sounds like such a cool event! I wonder if Disney Tsum Tsum will collaborate on other events like this? Maybe host multiple Disney Tsum Tsum related events around the world?
Hey, thanks for commenting. I think DTT is on the marketing offensive, ha ha, if you know what I mean. These would probably be popping up everywhere soon.
In Singapore, our next Disney/Pixar event is the Christmas light-up. First time ever there’s going to be a branded Christmas light-up in this way.
